Transcendental Meditation offers a different kind of reprieve from Post Traumatic Stress and its associated symptoms by providing deep neurological and physiological relief from deep rooted stress. It differs from other cognitive therapies because there are no negative risks and there is no need to relive painful memories. By simply  meditating twice per day, the amygdala (fear center: fight vs flight) is deactivated and blood flow is increased to the prefrontal cortex.
